What a charming village. You must have felt transported. I gather that Wolfgang is from Germany. Sounds like you had a great visit. How nice to be able to check out their schools. Do they need a "reading specialist" in English.
When I went to southern Brazil, in Porto Alegre, it looked very German to me. I found out that this southern state has German ancestors, so not only were all the buildings very German looking, but the natives there were as white as myself!! your picture of the buildings in the German town look just like it!
